Leading on from my previous review.....

Not wanting to wait a month for a courtesy vehicle to be available I managed to arrange a lift for the 40 min drive back and I dropped off my vehicle for the Warranty issue.

I collected vehicle a few days later on a wet, dark night. It was such a horrible night I was not able to see the issues detailed in pics till next morning.

During the work carried out the rear tail light unit was broken & the rear bumper put back on misaligned.

On contacting the Irvine branch I was told they have an hounesty policy & any damage made would have been declared by operative doing the work.

I got the impression I was being made out to be the liar here.

After seeing my pictures and consulting the pre inspection video which showed the damage was not present before their work, the branch agreed to rectify the issues.

The vehicle was collected the following week and issues put right.

I was offered nothing for my inconvenience!

Needless to say my vehicle will not be going anywhere near this branch again.

I recently purchased a Mini Cooper S and was very happy with the sales experience. Staff are friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the cars. I was given time to make my decision without feeling pressured to buy, which is not always the case in car sales, and this would make me much more likely to return again in future. Avoid. Garage charges £139 for a diagnostics check which tells you next to nothing, as they still need to investigate at £135 an hour plus vat. In fairness to them I was allowed to leave without paying this charge after protesting but overall a very sub standard experience and very different from the level of service I get from the Mini dealership in Bristol. Next time listen to the customer and don’t just respond with corporate lines and meaningless jargon

I purchased a new MINI from Harry Fairbairn Irvine MINI recently and the whole experience was excellent. The world wide shortage of semiconductors caused an inevitable delay in delivery but the dealership was very accommodating regarding my part exchange vehicle. Having previous only used the dealership for servicing my BMW, I have also recently became a retail customer via Sales Executive Derek Wilson. I always find the team to be welcoming and professional. Parking can sometimes be a challenge depending on the time of day, but with a little patience you'll always find a space or worst case, just ask one of the team if they can help find you a safe space. If leaving your car and resorting to public transport to get home, the Irvine train station is only a 10 minute walk away. There are dealerships closer to me, but I just prefer the overall experience at Irvine in comparison. I hope they maintain the high standards and continue to give their customers the premium experience you come to expect at a BMW dealership.
